To rich the main project aim – development of novel electrospun wound healing patches, loaded with copper nanoparticles with controlled delivery, we assign the following project tasks:

1. Synthesis of novel copper nanoparticles, based on “green synthesis technology” with controlled shape and size distribution.

2. Evaluation of structural and chemical parameters of copper nanoparticles and their antibacterial effect, including MRSA strains.

3. Development of polycaprolactone (PCL) nanofibrous electrospun patches and copper nanoparticle immobilization using core-shell technology.

4. Assessment of structural, chemical and degradation parameters of electrospun patches and evaluation of cell culture toxicity.

5. In-vivo evaluation of copper-loaded electrospun patches effectiveness on purulent wound rat model.

6. Elaboration of production technology for the commercialization of novel wound healing materials.
